Lindsey Boyd is the founder of Lindsey A. Boyd Law Firm, PLLC.  She formerly worked as the staff attorney for the Mississippi Domestic Violence Legal Help Line representing victims of domestic violence throughout the State of Mississippi in legal matters such as simple assault domestic violence, stalking, telephone harassment, malicious mischief, complaints in replevin, contempt, domestic abuse protection orders, divorce, child custody, child support, conservatorships, among other legal proceedings imperative to the victims legal needs and safety.  Her practice is dedicated to practicing in a variety of areas with a strong focus in domestic violence and other aspects of family law.

Professional Experience

MS Domestic Violence Legal Help Line, Staff Attorney.  Provided legal assistance to hundreds of domestic violence victims throughout the State of Mississippi.  Represented domestic violence victims in cases including, ex parte, temporary, and permanent domestic abuse protection orders, temporary support and child custody matters, divorces, contempt matters, conservatorships, simple assault domestic violence, malicious mischief, stalking, and telephone harassment charges, and replevin actions. Assisted domestic violence victims in pursuing felony domestic violence charges such as aggravated assault domestic violence, felony stalking, and sexual battery cases from initial filing of charges and investigation with law enforcement to indictment and prosecution with the district attorney.  Supervised volunteer attorneys, law students, and other volunteers in assisting in serving and/or representing domestic violence victims. 

MS Volunteer Lawyers Project, Volunteer Attorney.  Represent clients on a pro bono basis in child custody, contempt, and child support matters.

Amanda P. McKenzie worked at Mission First Legal Aid Office as Senior Staff Attorney for two years prior to joining Lindsey A. Boyd Law Firm, PLLC.  At Mission First, Amanda represented a diverse group of clients handling chancery matters including child custody and visitation, child support, adoptions, paternity actions, guardianships, conservatorships, power of attorney and medical derivative actions, name changes and birth certificate corrections, as well as a variety of youth court matters.  Amanda is also a certified Guardian Ad Litem in the State Mississippi.
 She is committed to dedicating to continued her practice in family law at Lindsey A. Boyd Law Firm with a strong emphasis in child custody and adoptions.
